Lithium-iron-phosphate-6.jpg
MSc research student Yue Wu works on a project looking at Lithium Iron Phosphate (LiFePO4) batteries as an energy storage device for photovoltaic systems. The research, at the University of Southampton, UK, indicates a higher energy efficiency than lead acid batteries, with a lower weight and longer life-span. Yue Wu is using equipment he has designed to monitor charge values in the battery.
