Blood collection bags for apheresis use, where some blood products are removed from donated whole blood at the time of donation. Yellow fluid in the front bag contains platelets removed from the whole blood by an in-line centrifuge, with the other blood blood components returned to the donor, apart from some waste products which, together with a few red blood cells also for return to the donor, are collected in the rear (red) bag.
